should i expect any hormone imbalances? i know this is a pretty common problem among women, they’re non canerous, and the surgery is simple. my doctor says i have nothing to worry about concerning having kids, reoccurance, hormone imbalance, etc.

just wondering if this is true, any other experiences, anything you know really. will anything be different with my body as i age?

She doesn’t want to undergo a surgery because she’s afraid. a family friend (who happens to be a doctor) said that it’s okay not to undergo a surgical removal since she’s near menopausal. When a women stops menstruating, the cyst will just disappear, she said. is this true? can you please explain this to me?

In March of last year i decided to get off of birth control pills in Feb. i got off the pill and i never recieve a period for about 4 months. After several pregnancy tests resulting negative they gyno decieded to put me back on birth control to regulate my period. My periods have since then been somewhat normal. But a few months ago i started getting pelvic pain, swollen stomach. Dr. just told me i have a dermoid cyst on my right ovary thats about an inch. And a fibroid tumor on my uterus. How do they know its a dermoid cyst and not ovarian cancer? Also why arent they removing the fibroid?

st bernard puppy is 4 weeks old and has a dermoid cyst on the corner of her outer eye, seen by opthamologist who recommends removal at 2 years of age since they are finished growing by that age and more chance of removing entire thing.There is an ointment that has been prescribed for her and my concern is that will this ulcerate her cornea in any way and could it possibly cause blindness especially having to wait so long to have it removed

I heard that it was an undeveloped fetus, I have tried asking this in womens health and no one will answer and maybe one of you have experience when TTC, My doc said that these have hair and stuff. ill be devestated if this is an undeveloped fetus. i have been wanting to talk to my husband about having another baby, but not sure how to tell him and im going in for surgery to get this dermoid removed and afraid that i will never be able to have children.

I am so nervous and freaked out about this, i dont know what to do Please help me. I am 30 yrs old, moved from india to USA in 2006, I might have not indulged myself with lot of physical activities just sitting around in the house and meeting few people once in 2-3 months.

Back in India in 2005, doc said that i have PCOS. Also i have been having irregular periods till today.

I started bleeding after intercourse, after the ultra sound and all other tests my gyn here in LA says that i have Dermoid Cyst on the Left ovary and that we might have to do a surgery for which i will have to do a MRI scan or something like that which is after 2-3 days.

Will i ever have a baby????? what should i do? should i undergo the surgery or wait till i have a baby i am so freaked out. I dont want to lose any Ovary.
