More on Ovarian Cyst and Endometriosis

stephlwe asked:

An update – my GYN says the ovarian cyst has shrunk from 4cm to about 1.5cm! Did you know women with Endometriosis are more likely to develop ovarian cysts?

THANK U SO MUCH

EndoSteph @ 6:51 pm

not sure how I missed this video but I loved it. Informative, I had no idea about the cysts. I have always had them and now I see the connection!
I have not seen you on in a while, I hope you are well. I am about to have it all removed…sad times, but my doctor believes this is the next step so, wish me luck. I also have a tilted uterus so it added to the need.

I was not on birth control. I did a dietary cleanse, consisting of taking a lot of supplements and drinking teas to cleanse the kidneys and liver. The cleanse lasted a month. At the end of the month, the cyst had shrunk to 1.6cm but I cannot say for certain whether it went down on its own or because of the cleanse.

Were you on birth control to shrink the cysts? I am almost 6 months out from my surgery and at endo of Lupron but in pain again and am pretty sure it is more cysts. I don’t want to have surgery again! I’m hoping bith control will help.

Another great video, Steph…

It’s important to note that there are many different types of ovarian cysts. Some cysts are endometriomas but others are not. For example, I have endo but I have never had the ovaries as a site for my endo. However, I had a 3″ ovarian cyst removed during my 2004 surgery. My pelvic pain specialist told me that *any* woman of child-bearing age can get ovarian cysts and that the type I had was one of those types (it was not a chocolate cyst/endometrioma).
