it was. I had Cystadenomas (siss-tahd-uh-NOH-muhs). These cysts form from cells on the outer surface of the ovary. They are often filled with a watery fluid or thick, sticky gel. They can become large and cause pain.

I was wondering if you know the dimensions of the cyst. I am having surgery in two weeks to get mine removed and I was hoping to compare the dimensions my doctor gave me after a CT scan.
Also how was the recovery period? I am very nervous about the whole thing.
Thank you.

Unfortunately, I don’t know anything about teratoma’s Trini, so I wouldn’t want to comment. I do hope everything goes well for your daughter.

Just a bit more information about this type of operation for those of you who don’t understand it.
I had a Cystadenoma, larger than the one shown. Most of these are benign, though some can be malignant and some borderline. Mine was borderline with rare cells. This is an ovarian cyst, and can grow to quite a size. They often grow to such a large size because the symptoms one gets are often misdiagnosed.
Mine was squashing all my major organs and extremely uncomfortable.

@ donnad23 “ive been taking 1200mg of vitamin d/calcium everyday for 3 years…”
Hey, first I think you meant 1200IU not mg. I’ve never seen D sold in mg.
Second, in midday summer sun over about 1/2 hour, a typical Caucasian produces about 10,000 to 15,000IU of D3, assuming decent skin exposure. So, your taking 1,200 is way lower than nature intended.
I’ve been taking 10,000IU D3 for about 6 months & my own cyst has shrunk and never grown the whole time.
Good luck!
