Is it normal for an ovarian cyst to hurt when you touch it?

I have an ovarian cyst on my left ovary. It doesn’t hurt randomly and I wasn’t aware of the situation until my doctor brought it up. Now that I know about it of course I have been touching my abdomen to see if I can fee it which I can. I feel little discomforting pain when I touch it. Is that normal?
