no sorry i wish i could help but here is some information i have found…ScienceDaily (Aug. 30, 2007) — Women who have their ovaries removed before menopause are at an increased risk of developing memory problems or dementia and movement disorders such as Parkinson’s disease, according to two studies published August 29, 2007, in the online edition of Neurology®

some women have been able to remove cysts without removing the ovary

im not trying to scare you just making sure that you have talked to the doctor about all of the options before deciding to remove the ovary

Hey,

I had one of my ovaries and tubes removed about 5 years ago after having my daughter (they found the cysts when I was pregnant).
I was in hospital for about 4 days and it was quite painful for the first day or two, but eased off with the painkillers. You’ll probably have a catheter fitted for this first day or two as well.

My scar is not very noticeable at all because it is below the pubic hair line and is about 3/4 inches long.

You’ll be fine hun – good luck! =)

Edit in response to Breanna’s post:

When I went in for the op, it was supposed to be just to have the cysts removed, but they found that there were so many attached to the ovary and tube that they had no choice but to remove them as well – obv this was quite upsetting at the time, but sometimes they have no option but to remove the ovary/tube
