Is surgery to remove an Ovarian cyst an inpatient or outpatient procedure?

I had a cyst removed three years ago (at 19) and mine was inpatient. I only stayed a few days though.
With your family history, you might be an outpatient, but I didn’t have any family history either (and now I have stage 2c cancer), but they still kept me. I guess it depends if the cyst ruptures or not.
FYI… It would probably be wise to ask them to run a CA125 just in case.
